i'll take that as a compliment. ;)

fractals are quite spectacular, both for the viewer and the creator.  i remember seeing them before i ever knew what they were.  i was drawing sierpinski triangles and other iterated patterns long before i got hold of fractal software and started making them.

for me, the creation is driven by the joy of discovery.  i always find new things, things i've never seen before.  those i love to share. :) maybe that's a spectacle of sorts, but the joy isn't spectacle-based.  and there's something absolute in the midst of all the chaos.  fractals are infinite in nature, so there is an absolute of sorts there to be experienced.

one thing that i've noticed since i started creating them is that i see them everywhere in nature - from the structure of plants, to cloud patterns, to the shapes of galaxies...  so the fact that we can see them on psychedelics suggests to me that they are somehow hardwired into the brain as a result of their existing in nature, and just require the right trigger to have them visualized in the psychedelic fashion...

if you ever want to learn more about fractals, get help making them, or just chat with fractalists, come to ApoShack sometime.  chat.deviantart.com/chat/Aposh…  cool peeps.

Firstly I must say that I have seen alot of fractals in my day but none are quite as mentally enjoyable as yours, nextly I will say that your insane fractalicious arts here blew my mind for many minutes. Bravo to you good sir, bravo.
